The calendar pulls outward, toward the amphitheater and the boulevard and the pool.
Fall reverses the direction. From late September through October, the events worth clearing a Saturday for happen closer to the gates than the summer routine suggests. The Green at Serrano gets its one marquee weekend of the year. The HOA calendar tightens into resident-only nights at Village Green. And Town Center quietly changes character, trading the concert crowd for a specialty-food opening that will change what "just grab something on the way home" looks like for people who live inside Serrano.
The Green at Serrano becomes a regional venue for one Sunday
The Niello Concours at Serrano lands on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Green at Serrano, 4525 Serrano Parkway. It is a concours d'elegance, meaning judged classic and luxury motorcars laid out on the lawn, with a bagpiper and awards presentations across the day. GetOutGarage lists it as a premier annual event roughly 25 miles from Sacramento, which understates what it means for residents: the largest single-day event of the year on Serrano grass, one gate over from home.
The practical read for anyone inside Serrano is not whether to buy a ticket, but whether to walk. Parking around The Green tightens sharply on Concours Sunday, and the route from most Serrano villages to 4525 Serrano Parkway is a fifteen-to-twenty-minute walk along the parkway trail system. If you have out-of-town family visiting the first weekend of October, this is the reason to keep them in town Sunday rather than Saturday.

- Arrive before 10 a.m. for the cleanest photo light on the cars and the shortest lines at food vendors.
- Walk in from the Village Green side rather than driving. The parkway shoulder becomes a de facto pedestrian corridor by mid-morning.

The HOA calendar tightens back into the gates
Summer's public-facing energy gives way to a run of resident-only events that most of El Dorado Hills never sees. The Serrano Oktoberfest Fall Festival returns as a private HOA event with food trucks, a pumpkin patch, a magic show, glitter tattoos, an obstacle course, and JC mobile gaming stations. Dates are posted on the Serrano HOA resident portal rather than any public calendar, which is the point: this one is for the people who pay the dues.
Village Green Park does more work in the fall than in any other season. The 27-acre space at Serrano's entrance, with its pond, walking trails, and mature oaks, hosts the Hands4Hope Endless Summer Beach Party at the Village Green Amphitheater on September 26, 2026 at 5 p.m. It is a youth-led fundraiser, not a Serrano-run event, but the venue matters. If you have kids in the Oak Ridge feeder pattern, this is one of the few nights a year the amphitheater fills without the summer concert crowd from Town Center. Bring a blanket. Leave the beach chairs at home unless you want to sit at the back.
Town Center is quietly restaging itself for the season after the concerts
The Live on the Boulevard series wraps in late August after eleven straight Thursdays, and Town Center's identity shifts almost overnight. The Saturday farmers market at 4364 Town Center Blvd keeps running with a Kids Markets edition on September 19, and Cars & Coffee still meets Saturdays 7 to 9 a.m. in the Theatre Plaza parking lot. But the news for Serrano residents is what's opening, not what's continuing.
Kings Meats, the Diamond Springs butcher shop that has built a following since opening in February 2020, is taking a 4,000-square-foot space behind OBO' at 4370 Town Center Blvd, Suite 110, with a target opening of September 2026. Owner Casey King told What Now Sacramento that the Town Center location has been on his list for at least three years and that the El Dorado Hills store will lean further into a specialty-market model than the Diamond Springs original, with an expanded cheese program and to-go wine and beer.

The reason this matters more than a typical restaurant opening: Serrano is roughly a five-minute drive from any gate to that suite number. A full-service butcher with Wagyu, dry-aged cuts, house-made sausages, Beeler's pork, and Smart Chicken inside the Town Center footprint changes the "what's for dinner" default for a lot of Serrano households from a Nugget Market run to a walk-up counter with a butcher who knows the cut. It is the kind of neighborhood addition that only registers if you already live close enough to use it weekly.
Kings Meats is not landing in an empty stretch of the center. Vacanza Romana, the new Italian concept doing house-made pasta and wood-fired items, is taking reservations. Bonchon has brought Korean fried chicken into the food mix. Boring Rose Brewing Co. is opening a hybrid taproom and plant shop. Face Foundrie held its grand opening Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4359 Town Center Blvd, Suite 113. The steady state you knew in 2024, anchored by Sienna, Milestone, ELDO, Native + Nomad, South Fork Grille, Barrel & Bliss, and Pacific Coast Pasta Co., has quietly grown by a full row of new operators around it.
The CSD fills in the weekends the HOA doesn't
The El Dorado Hills Community Services District runs the connective tissue between the private Serrano calendar and Town Center. A short list of what's actually on the books for fall 2026:
- CSD TRY-athlon, Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9 a.m. start with a finisher party at noon at EDH Community Park & Pool, 1021 Harvard Way. Kids swim, bike, and run or roll. Free, with required pre-registration.
- Pumpkin Splash Patch, Saturday, October 10, 1 to 3 p.m. at the CSD Community Pool. Ages 2 to 12, $18, pre-registration required. Pick a pumpkin, decorate it, swim.
- Yoga in the Park, Sunday, September 20, 9 a.m. at Promontory Park, partnered with YogaSix. Free with pre-registration.
- Hands4Hope Fall Festival at Town Center, with a hay maze, hay rides, pumpkin decorating, and a dessert walk. Youth-led, benefits Hands4Hope's programs.
None of these individually replaces a summer concert night, but the density is the point. Between the last week of September and the second week of October, a Serrano family can string together the Beach Party at Village Green, Yoga at Promontory, the TRY-athlon, the Concours, and the Pumpkin Splash without leaving the 95762 or driving more than eight minutes for any of them.
A routine that only works inside the gates
